Huge Brazilian raid on Rio gang leaves at least 64 people dead and 81 under arrest

On Tuesday, Brazilian authorities launched a raid against a drug-trafficking gang in Rio de Janeiro, resulting in shootouts that caused at least 60 suspects and four police officers’ deaths. The operation was conducted in the Complexo do Alemao favela, a stronghold of the “Comando Vermelho” criminal organization.
